The launch of the Honor 9 Lite Quad Lens

The launch of the Honor 9 Lite Quad Lens

something that I terribly failed to understand is that why a brand like Honor would kill its own existing market for the freshly launched phone like perhaps just couple of months old, the Honor 7x.Now both of the devices cater to pretty much the same group of people with same price range, perhaps with the same needs. But still nevertheless, they like to do it ..I guess, For the brave. Please don’t kill me.  I am sorry if this article comes out a little bit biased, but I really , like genuinely love the design and pretty much the overall looks of the Honor 9 Lite. And before I get started and talk more about the Honor 9 Lite, I have a favour to ask. If you enjoy this Article and would like to see a full in-depth analysis and a review for the same. There will be a click-to-tweet link in the description. I want you to go and spread a little bit of word for me and I promise you, it will be worth it.-musical intro-So right from the colors, the construction, the display and even the performance to some degree.. Has totally blown my mind. Although, that is something that I can only validate when I have the device in person. But boy this looks so damn sweet. Right up front you get a 18:9 Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2160x1080p.With a pixel density of 428ppi.To give you a little bit of perspective. The iPhone X’s super amazing display sports a pixel density of 458ppi.Of course the resolution isn’t always the entire story, but again that’s something for you to keep up with the perspective. But let me tell you right up front, it’s a pretty good edge to edge display. Of course isn’t something close to the S8 or something. But it is pretty good. The glass frame on the back is super reflective and honestly it can easily double up as your carry on mirror. Well.. like.. My camera had a hard time even focusing on it. It is that reflective. Which also means that it’s a fingerprint magnet. So might as well slap a skin or a case on it. But if you plan on carrying this around naked, the colors and the beautiful mirror finish is definitely going to give you a lot of head turns…I can assure that for you. Also, it comes with a set of 4 different cameras. And even before you go ahead and ask me, why, what’s the point? Do you even need 4 different cameras and if all the four cameras do have an actual purpose instead of just the flaunt game. Maybe.. it is, or maybe it’s not. I will just reserve my judgment till I actually get to test this out by myself. But more importantly something that the Honor guys couldn’t stop talking about, was the selfie mode or a particular feature where the AI or Artificial Intelligence determines if you are a dude or a girl. A man or a woman and then applies the beautification modes accordingly. So gone are the days when you actually try to take a SELFIE with the portrait beautification mode and end up looking like a hot chick. And if in case you are interested in the numbers, then the rear camera comes with a 13-megapixel primary shooter with a 2-megapixel depth-sensing sensor to have a better portrait mode or basically the artificial bokeh . As much as I wish I could I hate it, this shit actually works. The same thing goes with the set of front cameras, 13 megapixel camera with an additional2 megapixel depth sensing sensor. See, the use of this additional sensor on the front camera is pretty controversial and finicky, a lot of people are for it and also against it. And I don’t want to hold an opinion about this fuss, until I test this out myself. Under the hood it comes with the Kirin 659 Octa-Core processor, which is designed in-house by Huawei, heavily optimized for performance and since they know their smartphone, they will know their processors as well. Huawei has been mastering their processor technology for quite sometime now and seems like they pretty much know what they are doing. The Kirin 659 is based on a 16-nanometer fin FET technology. And if this mumble jumble sounds too much of gibberish to you. Then it basically means that it’s going to be a lot more power efficient, so less power consumed. And hopefully less power consumption = more battery life. Again something that I would reserve my opinion until I get to test it out myself. It comes with Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with EMUI or Emotion UI 8.0.And honestly the icons look a little bit like the Samsung’s TouchWiz UI icons in the first go. But again deep inside things are totally different and also hopefully, better. It comes in 2 different variants. The 3GB RAM model comes with 32GB of onboard storage at a price of Rs 11,000 INR. And the 4GB RAM variant comes with 64GB of onboard storage at a price tag of Rs 15,000INR.And also, just in case if you are wondering. Then yup, both of them comes with an expandable storage of up to 256GB using MicroSD card. So that being said, this was it for my initial opinion on the Honor 9 Lite. If you guys are interested and want to see a Full In-Depth review. Just help me out and spread a little bit of word for me on twitter.
